SWOOPS 101: HEAD-TO-HEAD GAMES
Head-to-head games are our bread and butter, our peanut butter and jelly, our blacktop pick up game at Rucker Park on a Sunday morning. It's here where you can test out different lineups, rack up Swooper Points, and in the future, make money.
HOW DO H2H GAMES WORK?
Like they do on the playground, sort of.
Each day you'll find open pick-up games against other Swoops owners and franchises from (literally) around the world. To play in a versus matchup you'll need to own at least one Swoopster. You can then fill out the rest of your lineup with players from our free agent pool at no cost to you.
Once you join a contest, each game is then simulated using our proprietary Swoops simulator technology, delivering a full post-game box score that you can use to make future lineup and team decisions, in the same way NBA coaches deconstruct the post-game data to tinker with their lineups.
The more you play in H2H games (and tournaments), the more you will learn about your squad!
HOW DO YOU ENTER A H2H GAME?
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3...
Entering a H2H game is as simple as:
- Signing into your Swoops account
- Clicking the 'COURT' tab
- Joining a game
From there, plug in your lineup and you're good to go. Because our games run asynchronously, you can join a contest at any time.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE MONEY?
Winner takes all...soon.
While paid H2H games are not yet live, the process is meant to be as simple as: 1) each owner submits an ante to enter a contest, 2) the winner of that contest then takes home the available pot.
It's that simple.
Once paid games go live, you will see the 'BUY-IN' column filled in with the amount of money you need to put in to enter that contest. Not every game or tournament will be a paid contest, in which case the buy-in will read $0.
